Signalling systems add to the magic and realism of your miniature world. From a simple set up of a few signals in prominent areas to a fully signalled layout with autonomous control, we can provide what you need along with the support to realise your dreams. We keep limited stocks of LGB signals but larger stocks of our own and those of selected niche manufacturers.
LGB Signalling
As with their other products, their signals are of high quality, robust and reliable construction. Although originally designed with analogue block control in mind, the equipment remains a very good choice and one we use ourselves on our layout. All models are illuminated and include prototypical movement / detail.
They offer a small range which suits most modellers although is primarily focused on the German Semaphore system. Available in the range is:
A Rhaetian Railway 2 aspect colour light signal, product 51590
Interestingly, although a lit signal, the same drive to the semaphores is used with a mechanically driven magnet, switching the aspect
A German Railways Semaphore home signal, product 51920
This model is a single arm semaphore showing “Go” (Hp1) and “Stop” (Hp0)
A German Railways Semaphore home signal, product 51940
This model is a double arm semaphore showing “Slow” (Hp2) and “Stop” (Hp0)
A German Railways Semaphore distant signal, product 51910
This model is a single disc semaphore showing “Expect to proceed” (Vr1) and “Expect to stop” (Vr0)
An American Semaphore signal, product 51960
This model is a single arm semaphore shoring “Go” or “Stop”
Many modellers use this on British style model railways too as it is not too dissimilar
The models vary in height from 22cm to 33cm and all come with electric drives which require four connections - Power +, Power - and two control cables. They can be driven from your own switch controls, LGB switch box 51750 (four switches), Single DCC drive or Massoth 4 outlet DCC drive. It's worth noting that the Massoth 4 outlet DCC drive can also be wired with switches so you get the best of both digital and physical control of your signals.
We tend not to keep many signals in stock but can obtain them relatively quickly from our supplier. Indicative prices are shown below but please contact us to discuss your requirements as multiple signalling components can become a more cost effective package.
